We started the week with Finn following the direction of Baiter Nant and going to visit the man in the library about the ruins. There were concerns that Jenny could not be trusted and so Finn had not wanted her to be aware he was going to visit the library. To distract her, Fang made a tremendous mess in the kitchen and then requested she help him clean up.
When Finn got to the library, he looked around and found a back door to go through. He entered the library and found his way through a kitchen past some rooms where there appeared to be people sleeping and storage rooms.
When he approached the center room where the library resided, he saw a man sitting at a desk and approached. The man did not introduce himself, but they had an interesting conversation in which Finn explained that he had come at the request of Baiter.
They had a lengthy conversation in which the man explained to Finn that the ruins contain a chamber that is said to hold technology and magic that would solve almost all of the worlds problems. From small boxes that would produce food out of thin air to devices that would diagnose and cure illness, all the wonders imaginable can be found in there. The man went on to explain he had been on the island for a long time researching the ruins and leading Kang's expedition because he hoped that once Kang had gained access to the chamber with his help, that Kang would allow him to share the wonders found inside with the world. Finn and the man parted ways with Finn being allowed to take the man's notes along with a number of books to share with his comrades.
While Finn was in the library, Opal was off searching the market for ingredients for the evening meal. As she made her way through the market she overheard a piece of conversation that two slaves were having while shucking corn. Their conversation consisted of one man asking the other why they couldn't go to the dig site now and just finish, to which the other man explained that a few more days and they would be through. This caught Opal's attention and so she decided to approach them. As she approached she saw they were slaves bearing the crest of the Woot-Ang pirate family. She decided to ask Fang about it later.
Opal tactfully asked them what they were planning and explained that she was part of a group of people who also were looking for something on the island and maybe they had similar goals. The two men were a bit standoffish, however they were willing to meet with her and her compatriots if that was desired and explained they would be at this building and could be available to talk.
Opal brought this information back to the group and everyone took a bit of time to say, "we have things to discuss" when Fang and Jenny got back and the evening meal had to be made. Apparently, after their work was done, Fang and Jenny had gone off and roamed the island all day talking.
That evening during the meal Baiter again invited Finn to join him and again after the meal they retired to the back porch. Finn explained all the things he and the man in the library discussed. Baiter was happy at this and told Finn the man's name was Clyde. Finn went on to explain that Clyde had given Finn his notes and he was hoping to review them later. Baiter got excited by this news and invited Finn into his bedroom to review some things.
Once inside Baiter summoned Fang to get them a bottle of wine and then proceeded to show Finn that he had a lot of notes from other trips to locations that were a lot like the one they found in Boswell. Baiter explained he had been on the island for 13 years and had been researching the ruins for longer than that.
The notes that Baiter had were significantly different than Clyde's though. Clyde's notes seemed to be a lot of transcription of the words and detailed illustrations of the rooms and surroundings, where Baiter's notes seemed to be much more detailed and involved the mechanics of mechanisms they found as well as drawings and replicas of the keys and how they worked. Finn was realizing that he had enough to work with here and decided he needed to look the information over with the group.
Finn explained to Baiter that he was fairly certain he had the means to open the door and decided to bargain his and the group's freedom for his knowledge. Baiter agreed and said if Finn could get him into the inner chamber, then Finn could have anything he wanted, up to and including Baiter's hand in marriage.
Before they parted ways, Baiter wanted to demonstrate something to Finn and so sat down on his lap and proceeded to knock over a vase with water and flowers all over the research notes. Then he removed his custom made pocket watch that he had shown Finn before, and using some kind of mechanism on the watch, he reversed time causing the water flowers and vase to jump back to where they were. At that point Fang walked in and Baiter hopped up almost like he was embarrassed.
Finn rejoined the other slaves and the rest of the night went on business as usual for the most part. Jenny was mysteriously absent that evening and the group did not spend a lot of time trying to figure out where she went, they just carried on like she had been there.
Later everyone was in the bunk room and they put their heads together and reviewed the notes. They discovered that runes on the 'keys' they had found were actually a coordinate system. They reviewed the notes and mapped out where the locations that other ruins had been found and then used the keys to dial in the coordinates. Each time they dialed in a set of coordinates, the key they were using would glow slightly. They realized that one key was able to dial in coordinates north of Lion's Roar and the other key was able to dial in coordinates south of Lion's roar. The notes went on to further explain that the keys could be used to go from portal to portal, and with the right power source, create new portals.
While they were getting close to the end of their investigation, Fang noticed a dark clothed figure enter the building via the back door over near Baiter and Jenny's rooms. Opal and Finn decided to investigate and discovered that Jenny was returning from somewhere. She was cleaning herself off because she had blood all over her and they observed a pair of very interesting pistols along with a set of 'ninja' swords. Knowing that Jenny was some kind of assassin scared the pair of them and they headed back to the bunks.
The following day Baiter seemed to be in a phenomenal mood and as he left for the day he instructed Jenny and Opal to get enough dinner tonight too make food for everyone. They wrapped up the chores very early again and once again Fang and Jenny went off to roam the island while Opal went off to find the people that she talked with the day before and see if she could find out more about their operation.
As they enjoyed a foot race and site seeing day, Jenny revealed to Fang that she was not happy on the island and would want to leave if she could. She said she would want to leave with her family though not elaborating on who her family was.
Opal noticed a house that a lot of activity was going on in front of and on closer inspection learned that one of the slaves in the house had gone on a rampage and killed everyone. The slave in question was missing. Opal proceeded to find the Woot-Ang slaves who told her that they were going to be having a meeting at midnight and that one of their members was in the house that was slaughtered the night before. Opal did not commit and decided to head back to the house.
That evening Baiter invited everyone to sit at the table and eat with him. It was a tense meal as Baiter revealed he knew that Opal was the real cook and Doc was aware now that he could time travel which put him at significant unease.
After the meal Baiter went to rest claiming he was tired and Jenny and the group sat and talked. Finn revealed that he and the group knew how to open the door and that they were planning on working with a group of people to gain access to below the prison. Jenny revealed that she was Baiter's Sister, Clyde was their father and that Baiter had killed the original Nant and became who he is now. She also revealed that Finn and Fang were free men having paid their own ransom when they arrived.
Jenny further revealed that the group that Opal had encountered was part of the Nant operation essentially. The house that she had to slaughter was compromised and the cell of the organization that resided there had been infiltrated by Kang. At this point she went and woke Baiter and they discussed next steps.
Next thing they knew they had taken a secret path out of the library and using a concealed set of walkways and a tunnel, ended up under the prison to go investigate the ruins with Baiter, Jenny and Clyde.
Will they find treasure and technology? Will they find their doom? I am sure we will find out in the next episode.

Enslaved with the only keys that matter
Our adventurers decided it was a good time to head back to Shan Fan and determine if they really needed to find mark Member or if at this point it would be better to cut their losses.
When they arrived they headed back to the Many Paths and had a conversation with Huang Tsu. Huang explained to them that they had to find Mark because he had apparently stolen something worth a lot of money from the many paths. This is a story that Teddy helped Doc spread, which was not entirely untrue, but was also not entirely accurate; Mark stole from Opal, not the Many paths.
Huang explained that he had another of the 'Keys' that the group had described to him and he showed them an almost identical 'key' to the one they found on the mesa, which gave them access to the 'Alien room' as Finn has been calling it. This piqued the groups interest and they decided on the spot that they needed that key.
They asked Huang if he would consent to helping them gain access to the Lion's Roar by giving them a replica of the 'Key' so they could use it to bargain with Kang. Huang was not adverse to this idea and agreed to accompany them to their artisan friend in Splitertown to have a copy made. After some discussion and gear purchasing, they were on their way to go see the Artisan.
The trip there was uneventful. Huang traveled with his retinue on a rickshaw while everyone else made their way on foot. Our adventurers obviously arrived after Huang and promptly introduced Huang to the artisan.
After niceties were exchanged, the artisan examined the 'Key' and refused to touch it. He asked that the adventurers accompany him and aide him in the casting of a cosmetic replica. When they were out of ear shot of Huang, the artisan explained that he thought the 'key' was very evil. After a few hours of hard work, the replica was complete and as long as you were not handling it, it looked almost identical to the real one.
On the way back to the Many Paths compound, a group of disguised Kang pirates attached Huang and his retinue and were quickly killed. Huang was worried that perhaps Mark had already been interrogated and that Kang knew it was the Many Paths that had executed the attack ad looting of the mesa. They all quickly headed back to the compound.
That night, after talking to Teddy and asking him about the comings and going in Huang's home, our Adventurers hatched a plan to steal the real key and replace it with the new replica. They gave Doc too much to drink and then proceeded to stage a rolling fight right into the audience chamber where the key was kept. Finn pretended to be knocked out while Doc and Fang had a fist fight that got a little too real and Opal tired her best to usher them out along with the guards.
With the room clear for a few minutes, Finn stole the key and headed back to their quarters. Earlier that day, Finn had hit the streets to figure out how they could possibly get into Lion's roar legitimately and he had learned there was a merchant vessel that was recruiting for deck hands that was supposedly bound for Lion's Roar. They decided with both keys properly stowed to attempt to get to Lion's roar aboard the merchant vessel.
When they got to the vessel, they were given a sack to carry below deck and then the journey was underway. Part way through the trip they decided things were not quite right, but then figured it was too late to do anything about it.
When they arrived in Lion's Roar, they learned they had been sold into slavery. There was a moment or two where they considered fighting their way out and then determined it was likely suicide to do so and decided instead to wait and see.
As they were leaving the ship, the pirate who seemed to be in charge of the operation for Kang took an interest in Doc as doc proved that he was able to clean water and said he was a cook. The pirate went above for a moment and returned and explained that doc and Opal belonged to him and the other two he couldn't help unless they wanted to pay for themselves. Fang and Finn eventually ponied up the money and the four of them left the boat enslaved to Baiter Nant.
Baiter brought them to his villa and introduced them to Jenny, his head servant. She explained a bit about what they had to do each day and then everyone got some much needed rest. In the middle of the night Fang crept around the house a bit and discovered that all of their belongings were being put in a metal cabinet in the basement and that only Baiter had the key.
The following day everyone was put to work while Jenny sat around a bit and hid to smoke a cigarette but otherwise kind of foisted all the work onto the new servants. That evening, Jenny set Fang and Finn out to get food for the master's dinner. She gave them a grocery list, which though Fang could not read, he still managed to collect everything that was on it. Finn wandered off and began to find out how the island worked.
Finn found out that the salves were identified by the collars they wore and that there was a whole sub society that was run by the slaves on the island. Essentially as long as your work got done and you kept your master happy, you are somewhat free to roam the island.
They returned with dinner and Opal managed to whip something up with the ingredients that Fang collected. Baiter had a guest for dinner and Finn played the waiter. They dinner went very well and Jenny asked Baiter if they could eat. He told her to go ahead and off they went back to the market.
The next day was more of the same, however Jenny went out at one point to 'run errands' and didn't come back until around 3:30 with food stuff to make dinner. Baiter had dinner with a friend again and Jenny asked if they could eat again and they were off to the market once more.
This time Finn and Fang ran into a friend of Fang's and they prodded until they found out that there was a dead pirate who's stuff they went and looted. When they arrived back at the villa, Opal again made a great meal while Finn attempted to hide the fact that he had loot from Jenny.
The night ended and the next day they decided they wanted to really question Jenny on some stuff. When they asked her she explained that they shouldn't rock the boat. She had been enslaved for the past 13 years and she has things down to science.
That afternoon when Baiter came home he slapped Opals ass in the most awkward way possible and appeared to be putting on a show. Finn followed Jenny down into the wing where her quarters, the study and Baiter's room was. Jenny explained he was never to go down there and slowly Jenny realized that Doc and Finn could read and write. Jenny acted a bit more shady and that night when Finn was out getting dinner, he asked specifically about Jenny and found that she was known to be a bit of a prized possession and was implicated in more than one mysterious death on the island.
After all the dinner was done and everyone had gone to bed, Finn made his way down to the basement to investigate whole the whole house slept; or so he thought. After he examined the metal cabinet and the hiding place where Jenny had a gun and some cigarettes he headed back to bed. IN the kitchen on the way up though he encountered a visibly intoxicated Baiter.
The next couple hours were drinking and talking by Finn and Baiter in which Finn learned that Baiter was some kind of weird scientist who made locks, clocks and other precision mechanisms. Baiter explained that he found his way here because he knew about the ruins below the prison that were what the adventurers were after also. Baiter eventually fell asleep and Finn helped him to bed.
The next day was very interesting. It started with Jenny in a bit of a panic because Baiter was not awake when she woke the others which Doc explained he could fix. They administered a potion or three that woke him up and got him pepped. The rest of the day Jenny was off and would not let anything be out of place or dirty for when Baiter arrived home again.
That afternoon when Baiter arrived home, everyone greeted him. He appeared to make a show of hugging and kind of groping? Opal. In any event Opal noticed he seemed to be doing this because there were guys watching from the street.
That night dinner was not normal. Finn was invited to eat with Baiter and then Finn went to the back patio with Baiter to talk while everyone including Jenny was left to do the chores. Jenny again explained that they should not rock the boat after Doc asked why they didn't just make enough dinner for everyone to eat.
Finn brought up the finances and the fact that Jenny may be skimming money, to which Baiter said that he would ask her to examine the books and that he had no reason not to trust her. He talked it off and when Finn again brought up the ruins, Baiter mentioned that he wanted Finn to go see a man in a building near by who wore black robes about them the next day.
The night went on as usual and the following morning, Jenny woke everyone and told Doc that she needed what he gave Baiter yesterday. Doc insisted that he would be the one to deliver the potion and so he did. Baiter proceeded to be annoyed for not having his order followed to the T and he essentially condescended to doc while saying he was in charge and he expected everyone to do exactly as he said.
This did not sit well with Doc and as Doc left the room he said something about Baiter being a fucker which apparently twitched a nerve. Baiter followed the elderly man down the hall and asked him to turn around. As Doc turned around, Baiter proceeded to shoot him in the leg with his revolver faster than Doc could react. They had a brief conversation about who was in charge and then they both went their separate ways. Doc healed himself up and then went on with his day.
Finn eventually found some time to leave without Jenny noticing even though again she was super agitated and keeping up on everyone.
We leave our 'Heroes' in a situation where they are about to maybe learn something but also on the brink of being killed in their sleep.

An Ogre, a Boat and a Soon to be dead man
We started the week on the Ironclad ship with a mysterious pirate crew member in the engineering room. As they try to figure out where to go, a gruff voice comes from below asking what was going on.
Finn explains to the individual below that he is the new captain and that they had to escape. The person below did not exactly buy this and seemed to be ready to head up deck. Opal went down and jammed the door while the Doc attempted to watch the hatch from below to ensure that if anything were to go sideways, he would be able to put a bullet in it before it had a chance to eat him.
The person in the engineering room, stops the engine saying he had to poop. After a few minutes the person came back and said he wanted 'fresh air time'. So Opal went down and attempted to get the door open which caused a moment of fear thinking the individual would perhaps get violent or break down the door. Eventually, Opal banged the latch through the door letting a giant Ogre out. The Ogre came up onto the main deck and everyone was a little freaked. Opal ushered the two 'slaves' that they saved into the engineering room to try and get the boat going again.
Teddy and Finn noticed that the Knife Boat was coming their way and everyone suddenly remembered that they came to destroy the ironclad and so Doc and Opal headed out onto the armor to try and let captain Joetea that they had control of the boat. This prompted the crew of the knife boat to shoot at them. This is when Mark Member was noticed swimming up to the boat and shortly thereafter, boom.
Doc had cut the landing boat free of the ironclad sending the Ogre into the water and he persisted and made his way back into the boat but was back in the water after the explosion. Doc threw a wounded 'slave' into the water to 'save' him and then the Knife boat closed in. Everyone headed across a boarding plank and were on the knife boat when the Ogre rescued Finn and the wounded 'slave' from the vortex created by the sinking ironclad.
When Finn and the 'slave' were on deck, Finn told the Ogre to go get the provisions from the sinking boat, to which the Ogre said yes captain Finn and dove down. Mark Member had been swimming back the whole time and just as he was getting close to the boat, the Ogre emerged from the depths holding onto the large chest that stored all the food and booze that was on the ironclad. Doc desperately did not want the Ogre on the ship and so he shot the hand that the Ogre held onto the ship with.
The sudden loss of weight made the ship rock hard to one side and everyone had to hang on tight. The Ogre made a huge noise and his bloody hand drew the attention of some devil rays which began to sail over the ship while the Ogre floundered in the water. By this point, Joetea had gotten the stem engine going to get the boat moving. The Ogre caught the back of the boat and as Doc slid toward him, he fired two shots and put the wretched thing to death.
This freed the boat and gave a food source to the devil rays which stopped harassing the ship immediately. The boat hit a bunch of rough water and it took way more time than it should have to get out of the maze. Joetea made a stink about the shape of the boat and convinced Doc and Finn to fix the paint job and so they just splattered paint everywhere. Joetea was not happy about this and so Opal said when they got to the port, that she would pay for the ship to be fixed up right.
On their way back to Shan Fan, they spent the night in the maze and were attacked by Fish men who one of the crew members Fang Lan played human machine gun on. After the fish were dead, everyone got some rest before heading back to port.
When they arrived, Opal made good on the money to fix up the ship and they headed back to the Many Paths. Huang Tsu questioned where Michael was and everyone informed him that Michael was dead. Huang Tsu asked for a pledge of allegiance to the Many Paths which everyone complied with and then the discussion turned to what was found in the cave on the island.
The group explained about the strange room, the key they found and they said that they lost the key when the ironclad went down. Huang Tsu said that he would very much like to have that key and asked if they new a good diver to try and retrieve the key. They brought up Mark Member's name and then Huang Tsu asked if Mark was trustworthy. Doc produced the list of 'family member names' that Mark had dictated to him and Huang Tsu determined they were made up names that phonetically sounded like a grocery list. Huang Tsu revealed that he had the other key and this was interesting to the group. After the conversation, the group started to think about what to do next.
Teddy settled back in with the little old ladies in the kitchen and quickly learned about cooking and kind of found a good place to settle in. At this point Opal went looking to cash in some of her diamond stash and they discovered that some of them were missing. They quickly tried to figure out what could have happened and they realized that Mark Member likely was the one who stole the diamonds.
Doc and Opal went looking for Mark and found that they must have been right because he paid his bills and then headed off into the maze. Apparently Mark had owed the Wounded Paw Triad money for gambling debt which just seemed to make this whole affair worse. Opal and Doc asked the Many Paths Triad cutters to try and find Mark also, saying that he stole a large sum from the triad. This mobilized everyone and Finn found out.
Working the street, Finn and the cutters found out that Mark had been tracked to two potential hiding places from dozens and so they went out into the maze with Joetea to try and find him. They ended up finding his house boat abandoned with all signs pointing to his capture by the Kang pirates.
Not sure what they are going to do next, but I am sure it will be epic.

It is a Unicorn, but it is also a Devil.
Our adventurers traveled into the dense steel tree forest for a while until they came to a large river. Initial thoughts were to make a log raft, but there was a question about the buoyancy of Steel tree logs which caused them to instead decide to try and make a canoe.
Ray went off and felled a suitable steel tree with his vibro great sword and hauled it back to the others for processing. Florida man and Jayden then set to work trying to shape the tree into a canoe. Neither of them had ever worked with this material before, but Jayden found that like anything else, it became quite pliable with the liberal application of fire. While the trunk was red hot on one side, Florida man used his vibro sword to carve out the molten wood(?) and after a while found himself with a broken vibro sword but a decent canoe.
Wraith went off and bloodily killed some things to throw into the water a ways up river to lure any predators that direction, and then they began to cross the river in their new canoe. The current was very strong and Florida man was having a lot of trouble steering. Jayden stepped up and aided Florida Man and they were half way across he river when they encountered something.
Something large bumped the boat and Grevicus almost fell out but was caught before he could. Florida Man acted fast by seeing the large slithery thing and then jumping into the water onto its back. Florida Man wrestled with it for a moment while Quill attempted to stun it before it wrapped its body around Florida Man and dove.
Before it was completely out of sight, Grevicus dove in after the pair and promptly filleted the monstrous Devil Eel, freeing Florida Man. Then they did a mad scramble to get back in the boat before the current could drag them away and then they traveled uneventfully the rest of the way to the western shore.
The group landed at what appeared to be a mooring spot as there were other canoes like theirs and there was a lot of evidence of foot traffic. They followed the trail to a well established path through the forest and Ray and Florida man ran as scouts.
Ray first found some things dead and stuck to trees and then Florida man found a sing warning of a dangerous Unicorn lair ahead, so obviously had to investigate. Ray and Florida man stalked circles around each other for a while eventually stumbling into each other making enough noise to attract the Devil Unicorn. The monster pounced on Florida Man and cut him up in a sadistically playful way while muttering about new friends before bouncing off into the woods to hide again. This prompted the pair to make haste to join the others who had made their way to the village at the end of the trail.
The village was apparently called Northside E and it was an impressive place primarily because a ley line ran straight through the middle of it. Quill found some kind of strange structure built from dinosaur remains on top of the primary dwelling while exploring the ley line while the others asked about their missing friends and family.
The occupants of the town called themselves Northsiders and were very friendly to the group explaining that the town was neutral territory created by a lot of the local tribes specifically as a center for learning and healing. They constructed a Cradle OF Life atop the 'E' and they performed amazing feats of healing using it.
The Norhtsiders explained that a group of Thurmondites and some foreigners had come through recently but some of the foreigners were lost to the Devil Unicorn. The adventurers decided that they would try and rescue these people and so sought information about the monster. They were told about its sadistic habit of torture and maiming and were told that the town and the local tribes would be forever in their debt if the adventurers were able to kill the beast.
That afternoon into evening the group went into the woods to try and lure the creature out. Ray disguised himself as a tortoise and hid in a bag that Florida Man carried. Florida Man did not 100% understand the bait and switch plan and so when he found the monster attempted to give the tortoise to it. The monster was wary of the Tortoise and made itself scarce for the rest of the day.
That night Quill went back to the town while the others camped out in hopes of attracting the monster. Butch, Jayden and Florida Man lit a conspicuous fire and settled in while Grevicus hid in the woods just outside the campsite. A light rain started and then the monster fumbled right into the middle of the camp. Weapons were drawn and a fight ensued.
Tortoise Wraith attempted to grapple the monsters tail but was not immediately successful. Florida Man tried to kill it with Plasma while Butch pummeled its face with his Gun Arm. They hurt it quite good and so it took off into the woods with Wraith now in dragon form clamped to its tail. Wraith tried in vain to hurt the creature further and Grevicus lunged but misplaced his attack giving the monster a chance to pounce on him and shred him.
With Grevicus laying in a bloody heap on the forest floor, the monster again attempted to flee. What happens next is anyone's guess.

A little clean up and getting back into keeping track
When last we left our adventurers they were facing down a mechanical army. Lots of things happened with the deranged individual known as D'Arlene.
After an assault on the robot factory went wrong and Butch was captured, D'Arlene spent time 'enhancing' Butch and grafted his signature weapon onto his arm.
A Ley Line Walker named Quill showed up in time to aide everyone with a rescue mission and Wraith dropped from the sky belly flopping into the soft earth to disable D'Arlene and that is when things went more sideways.
With D'Arlene captured and not able to control her robot minions, they went a bit crazy and assaulted Bean town. With the help of Lord Grevicus, a cyber knight with an attitude, they manged to defend bean town without any serious injuries. Amaoreyla took D'Arlene into the woods and no one ever saw either one of them again.
With the healing red fungus in hand, they headed back to Dinotours, with Ray staying at Ft. Hawkins to enter into wilderness scout training.
When they arrived back, there was a meeting with some shady people of the CS who wanted to help Dinotours wipe its bad record clean by offering them a mission to capture an dangerous person named Toombs.
With two new companions the whole crew headed south to go find this Toombs person. There was a crawl through the MARTA tunnels involving metal crustaceans and rat men. One of the new companions, a some what sociopathic weird scientist, ended up killing a rat companion after there was a run in with some barbarians that Florida man punked in a most epic way. This drew the Ire of Quill the Ley line walker, but no one worried too much about that.
Later they headed further south chasing slavers and encountered a place that looked like teeth where they set up a holographic projection of Florida Man doing his best swamp thing impersonation to try and scare some spluggorth slavers away. They ended up having to fight the slavers and Grevicus showed us how well a cyber knight can kill ALL the things.
After that they headed further south and ran into some kind of unmanned Golden Age delivery service which robbed them of everything they held dear and then tried to install them onto an island where they would be customers. There was a group of CS scouts and a boat and bad things happened. Long story short, they left the place a smoldering ruin and continued south with a pile of odd ball new gear.
They found themselves next at 'The Wal' where there were barbarians and ghosts galore along with some kind of sentient cactus. As is custom with our adventurers a fight ensued and Butch and Florida man got a chance to show us what good gardeners they are (or at least hedge trimmers) while Grevicus learned that smashing through a load bearing wall can have consequences up to and including being buried in the piece of the roof that the wall was holding up.
They continued south and found them selves in the ruins of old Orlando. Slavers and pirates had taken the walled city and were having a field day. There was some kind of arena where gladiatorial fighting took place and once again long story short, we gained a Burster named Jayden and old Orlando lost a slave pen. Also Florida man became convinced that he was neigh indestructible and champion of the world as he managed to walk his way right into the middle of a fight and proceeded to show us that he is called a crazy for a reason.
They followed some leads on Toombs to an old Disney building after Quill spent some time agitating tentacle faced monstrosities and flying around Ley lines. Here is where we learned that D'Arlene was from this area, or was just using tech from the area, as Butch was identified as Samantha Brownstone due to his cybernetic implants.
Samantha was given clearance to go through the building but Toombs had been through ahead of them with plenty of time to play a good rousing game of Death Trap dungeon. Lots of once again dead bodies and more flaming debris later, they were trying to make their way into one of the lower city domes. Jayden proved that with enough fire, even a fire blast door has limits.
When they found their way into a mall of some kind there was another protracted fight with flaming monsters previously dead things and a giant graboid monster that burrowed up swallowed Florida man and then had an exceptionally bad day as he cut his way back out.
Everyone was forced to dive into the dead worm and then make their way into a subway since they were about to be suffocated by a fire suppression system, because well our adventurers just can't help themselves from blowing everything up.
They found their way into another death trap dungeon, this time with little gobliny monsters, a haunted house and some kind of were wolves. Death destruction ensued and they went further down.
Eventually they found themselves in the belly of the old Disney dome where there were some kind of monsters and demons, dudes who were super inbred and throwing safety foam everywhere and of course Toombs.
They apparently just walked through the front door and just as Toombs decided to start to monologue and attempt to turn into a dragon, they punched him in the face and put a magic sucking worm up his butt.
When Jayde, Jarred, Errol and Grevicus arrived, Jarred and Jayden proceeded to mutilate the unconscious Toomb's legs and then they took an escape pod to the surface while the dome appeared to become seriously riddled with untamed and unchained monsters.
When they hit the surface, Errol took Toombs off to an island while the other waited to be captured by pirates who wanted to trade them to slavers to stop some kind of war.
In the belly of a boat, all tied up, Grevicus provided a distraction while Quill, Jarred, and Florida man un-cuffed themselves and then they made all the bad people regret their life choices. Florida man went up on deck and killed everything that moved while Jarred, with Quill's help went through the wall and disabled the boat. Then with some meeseeks took control of the boat. Quill provided a target and they all teleported out into the walls of Old Orlando while the Meeseeks continued on the path the boat was going and instead of stopping a war, started one.
Eventually they headed back to mainland, collected Ray and headed 'home'. They traded Toombs and then things went on as normal for a few months.
Kage and Lexington, now having a stable and established settlement, adopted three of the children that were recovered from the village to the north west forma long time ago. Meanwhile, Jayden joined Florida man to become the local entertainment while Quill and Grevicus found ways that they could help out.
One day there was a meeting called by Kage to explain a situation. Apparently the adopted children were being claimed by a norther tribe call the Thurmondites and in order to avoid war, peace needed to be discussed with the Kopar acting as a mediator. Kage was going alone with the children and a Kopar envoy so as to avoid having to shut the park down and also because they did not want to start out with a threatening posture. Plus, the Thurmondites, though assertive, were not openly hostile.
Kage headed out, and Lexington wanted to immediately follow. Ray and Butch talked him out of it, with Butch reminding him that leaving Dinotours unprotected would be a bad idea and Ray reminding him that they should trust Kage.
The next couple of days, with Lexington out of sorts, Grevicus had to start running some safari hunts which lead to Butch having to explain that it is OK to let some tourists not come back. Grevicus was not having any of this which lead to the establishment gaining another pet named danger noodle.
Quill became increasingly agitated over the first day and a half while staring at the sky until he eventually had a hunch and just booked it off north to try and hit the Ley lines to follow something East.
Quill eventually observed some kind of large floating thing that the flying thing he was tracking rendezvoused with and then flew off further East toward where Kage was supposed to be having his meeting. Then Quill saw a HUGE forest fire and decided it was time to head home and sound the alarm.
When he returned to Dinotours, he alerted everyone before collapsing from exhaustion. Lexington apparently ready for this, grabbed a bag ans started to stop out into the woods. Everyone made some hasty preparations and followed with Butch paying Aaron the runner from the CS to drive him West. They picked up mounts at Kopar and continued to the meeting site with a bit of tired a day and a half later.
Butch had been there for about a day an spent a lot of time examining the dead and the burned clearing. Everyone took a stab at trying to figure out what had happened and unfortunately no one could figure out any more than there was a fight a fire and that Kage and the kids were not among the dead.
A little upset and with determination, they rested and prepared to head West into the Steel Tree Forest.
